Colored trash bags (they will be color that is not used by residents' regular trash pickup) are available at the desk at the Tiverton Library for those who adopt an area.
When you are cleaning up, make sure you do not pick up any medical waste and are always wearing gloves.

To dispose of the colored bags, you can either:

Call DPW (401-625-6760) and let Marcia know days in advance that DPW needs to pick up the green bags. Then, put the green bags out with your regular trash on trash day. If you do not call, Patriot only picks up maroon bags and will not pick up the green ones.
Or, you can take the green bags to the town landfill and drop them off at the top of the hill.
